Territory Manager
US$160k basic plus bonus	Singapore
Our client is a world renowned US Oil industry exploration and production equipment manufacturer and service provider. The company's products and services set the standard for quality and reliability in this highly demanding field and are widely used in the Oil industry. The company has service centres on all continents and in all major Oil industry locations around the world with support and maintenance facilities local to all major development centres. A vacancy has been created by the delayed retirement in March 2004 of the East Asia Territory Manager based in Singapore. The expected near future Oil developments in South East and North East Asia make this a critical appointment in the company's plans and would suit a well seasoned Oil industry manager with experience in hands-on territory management.
The Task Reporting to the Executive VP in the USA for the efficient wide ranging management of business operations and for the achievement of market development targets in the region. Managing a large regional service and supply system with numerous ongoing projects throughout the region. Maintain and further develop the company's contacts and presence on major projects in the region. Produce regional business plans and budgets to maximise business performance. Manage all regional facilities and business operations including production, service provision and manpower, with regional profit and loss responsibility.	The Candidate The ideal candidate would have numerous years experience within the Oil industry in a senior management position in a major Oilfield service and equipment provider where product quality and service are paramount considerations. Graduate calibre ideally holding a Masters degree in a relevant engineering specialism with exposure to Operations and Sales and Marketing management in the Oil industry. An enthusiastic, pragmatic and energetic hands-on individual with the ability to motivate and inspire a following in employees, agents and distributors. A strong grasp of international strategic issues in the Oil industry with expatriate experience in Asia and responsibility for a major equipment brand and service provider.
